Roots Roadshow

Berklee's American Roots Music Showcase

The Roots Roadshow series, presented by the American Roots Music Program, is a showcase where America’s rich musical heritage is explored and celebrated. Every month, we present a variety show of student bands and ensembles performing styles such as country blues, old-time, bluegrass, new acoustic, Celtic, classic country, western swing, and more. Whether it is a faculty-led ensemble, a brand-new student project, or a band that is making its name in the Boston scene, you never know what will happen at a Roots Roadshow. Come connect with Berklee’s thriving roots community, and hear some of Berklee’s finest rising acoustic talent as we continue to propel American roots music into the 21st century. This month’s theme will be Ensemble Night. We are very excited to feature performances from Mark Simos and Bruce Molsky’s Appalachian Old-Time Ensemble, Maeve Gilchrist’s Celtic Ensemble, Dave Hollender’s Bluegrass Ensemble, and Joe Walsh’s 21st-Century String Band Ensemble.
