Boston-based alternative electronic duo, Sleeping Lion, was formed by roommates Nate Flaks and Noah Longworth McGuire in the spring of 2015. The first Sleeping Lion songs were written and produced remotely the following summer while Flaks was living in New York and Longworth was living in Rome. In the fall, the two came together in Boston to record the majority of their upcoming EP in Quincy, Massachusetts. Their single, “You Made Me,” quickly generated hype around Boston when it was released in September. Their new song, “Rug,” premiered on Indie Shuffle in November and was one of the blog’s top 10 most popular new tracks for the week following the release. The duo's upcoming EP, Patient Creature, will feature Sleeping Lion's unique combination of mellow electronic vibes with elements of future-bass.
