'Staggering' $3M Cocaine Shipment from Boston Seized
New York authorities in the Bronx caught two men charged with transporting 136 pounds of cocaine.

BRONX, NY — Two men were arrested on charges they transported a $3 million, 136-pound load of cocaine from Boston to the Bronx, authorities announced.
Mark Soto, 23, and Xavier Herbert-Gumbs, 24, both of Puerto Rico, were part of a major drug network, New York City’s Special Narcotics Prosecutor Bridget Brennan said, according to ABC.

“The sheer amount of cocaine seized in this case is staggering,” Brennan said.
It was one of the largest drug busts originating out of Massachusetts since 2013, when authorities seized 100 pounds of cocaine in Andover.

Police said they found the cocaine packed in bricks with names like “Messi,” according to the New York Daily News.
Both men were held on $400,000 bail.
