Streets Closed Thursday Night

More than 9,000 participants will take the J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge.

WHAT: A capacity crowd of 9,000 Greater Boston employees from 500 companies will take over the streets of the Back Bay in the 32nd J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge. The 3.5 mile race is the largest corporate road race held entirely within city limits.

CLOSURES: Note Street Closings for Race Night:

Commuters and residents in the Back Bay should note that there will be street closures on a rolling basis from 7:00 - 8:15 p.m. on Charles, Beacon, Arlington and Boylston Streets, and Commonwealth Avenue.

WHO: A capacity crowd of 9,000 runners and walkers from 500 Greater Boston companies.

Company participants include: J.P. Morgan; Athena Health; Bain Capital; Boston Consulting Group; Cambridge Associates; Eaton Vance; Fidelity Investments; Liberty Mutual Insurance; TJX Companies and Wellington Management.

BENEFITS: J.P. Morgan will make a donation in celebration of the sold-out crowd to the Catholic Schools Foundation’s signature program, the Inner-City Scholarship Fund. Through this fund, thousands of children in need receive partial scholarships to attend Catholic schools in the Archdiocese of Boston.

The donation from the J.P. Morgan will allow the organization to expand its outreach to homeless students and families through a partnership with Horizons for Homeless Children.

SCOPE: The Boston race is part of the 13 city J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge Series worldwide.
