- Congratulations to Chef Michael Schlow’s Tico, which was selected by a Zagat Survey as a destination for business travelers looking to avoid the dreaded chain restaurant doldrums while on the road. You can check out the full list on USA Today (with a minor typo in our hometown spot’s name), and from when they opened back in February.
The Blind Tasting Wine Dinner at Taj Boston
- Join fellow oenophiles on July 28 at Taj Boston for their monthly wine dinner and show off your varietal identification skills at The Blind Wine Tasting. For $65, you’ll sample everything from chardonnay to Chianti served alongside a menu of perfectly paired dinner courses.

The Brahmin Opening Next Week
- Our sources report that the Back Bay’s newest new restaurant will be springing up sometime next week at 33 Stanhope Street in the spot where 33 Restaurant used to stand. The Brahmin American Cuisine & Cocktails will offer traditional American entrees and tapas plates, as well as (naturally) cocktails – you can check out the menu on their website. Cheeseboy Open in the Pru

- Happy news for Back Bay cheese-lovers – grilled cheese favorite Cheeseboy opened a location in the Pru’s food court on Monday. This new spot joins its local brethren in South Station and Braintree, but this one allows us much better access to close-to-home cheesy goodness.
