Tiffany Roberts is Getting a Boot in the Butt with the Ultimate Bootcamp Challenge

Tiffany Roberts won the Patch sponsored bootcamp challenge through Ultimate Fitness. We checked in with her half-way through the program.

A normal morning for Tiffany Roberts now involves waking up before 6 a.m., and starting the day with 15 minutes of straight up cardio, 30 second intervals around the Charlestown High School track, or lunges around the baseball field for a hard legs workout.

"That was killer," she said.

Roberts, who won a free four-week fitness session at through a Patch-sponsored contest, entered the challenge as a way to stay focused and in shape while going to school part-time for her MBA, and planning her wedding.

Having recently moved to Charlestown from California, she was also hoping to meet more people in the area.

"It's hard because it's 6 a.m., so it's not like your going to go out for a drink or a cup of coffee after," she said. But she has made some friends, and plans to join a running club after the program ends.

What she has gotten to know intimately is the place where she now lives. With workouts at local landmarks like Charlestown High School, the Navy Yard, the Monument and and Paul Revere Park, she's had some great opportunities to get to know her new neighborhood. t's also given her a chance to get to know her new neighborhood.

"It's utilizing the whole town," she said. "It's a nice variety, it keeps it fresh, and I can replicate these workouts on my own."

It's also given her mental stability as she balances her job and planning her wedding.

"This has been awesome, and it has kept me level headed through all this planning and staying organized," she said. It's also great to get the exercise in the beginning of the day, so it's not something to worry about and try to fit in during the evening hours after work, she said.

And her wedding dress?

"It fits perfectly."
