Walking on Cars comprises five school friends: singer/lyricist Patrick Sheehy, pianist Sorcha Durham, lead guitarist Dan Devane, bass guitarist Paul Flannery, and drummer Evan Hadnett. They took their initial baby steps as a band in 2010 when the group dove headfirst into the creative pool, writing quality songs with ease. By the end of that summer, Walking on Cars played their first gig in a youth café in their windswept hometown of Dingle, County Kerry, Ireland.
After recording demos and tucking themselves away in the wilderness to listen to hours of music, Walking on Cars gained national prominence by winning the Red Bull Bedroom Jam 2012 competition. They also gained attention by receiving extensive radio play from their infectiously melodic debut single, "Catch Me if You Can," which reached no. 27 on the Irish charts and stayed there for over 20 weeks. The band’s second single, "Two Stones," reached no. 12 on the Irish charts, while YouTube views are currently over 600,000.
