Wired for Jazz: An Exploration of Jazz and Electronics Featuring Terence Blanchard and Neil Leonard

Thursday / April 21, 2016 / 8:00 p.m. Berklee Performance Center 136 Massachusetts Avenue, Boston, MA, 02115, United States

What happens when you pair a group of jazz composers with modern electronic musicians? Adventurous artists have always been inspired by new technologies, and in the spring of 2016, Terence Blanchard and Neil Leonard will work with a group of students from Berklee’s Electronic Production and Design and Jazz Composition departments to explore new possibilities for bringing together these rich musical languages. Blanchard has stretched the boundaries of jazz into modern film music while Leonard has pioneered the use of electronics and multimedia in jazz improvisation. Together with a group of select Berklee students, they will present an evening of music that will inform and inspire.

Admission: $8 in advance / $12 day of show
