Zaid Tabani / Woolf Live at The Red Room @ 939
FREE SHOW / August 8th / 8:00PM / The Red Room @ Cafe 939 / 939 Boylston Street

Originally from Southern California, Zaid Tabani’s career was heavily bolstered by the boom of the internet and the ensuing collapse of the music industry’s walls. Free to produce and sell the kind of hip-hop he wanted to make, Tabani gained a cult following online with “World Warrior,” “Evolve,” and “Prime.” His music soon caught the attention of gaming giant Capcom, who featured him not only on the Street Fighter 25th anniversary soundtrack but also in the commercial for Super Street Fighter IV, 3D Edition for the Nintendo 3DS. In addition to being a musician, Tabani is also a highly accredited filmmaker. His documentaries Run It Back and A New Kind of Blues have garnered a strong online following, and his film Ranbat is highly anticipated. Tabani’s new mixtape, Bos Angeles, is currently being recorded, and his latest work, an EP called Limbo, is available on Bandcamp.
Arron Shapiro is a house/R&B/hip-hop DJ and producer performing under the moniker of Woolf. Most recently he’s opened for Odesza, Michael Menert, Kaytranada, Rockie Fresh, and Lunice, among others, at various venues throughout the East Coast.
