1 Charged In String Of Hyannis Car Break-Ins
A 19-year-old from Hyannis is charged in "several" recent break-ins, though police say there have been over a dozen in the past weeks.
HYANNIS, MA — A 19-year-old is charged with "several" of the recent car break-ins in the Hyannis and Centerville areas.
More than a dozen cars have been broken into over the past several weeks, officials said. They also announced charges of breaking and entering into a vehicle and larceny against Jakari Sylvia, 19, of Hyannis.
Sylvia was arrested on Friday after police detectives obtained a warrant with evidence gathered from crime scenes and information provided from the public, they said.

Bail was set at $40 and personal recognizance, and Sylvia is scheduled to be arraigned in Barnstable District Court on Monday.
