1 Injured In Hyannis Shooting
The victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries during the shooting, police said. An investigation is ongoing.
BARNSTABLE, MA — One person was injured during a Sunday shooting in Hyannis, police said.
Officers responded to the area of Main Street and High School Road in Hyannis for reported gunshots around 4:30 p.m. on Sunday.
When they arrived, police found a man that was shot in both legs. They began treatment on him at the scene.

The victim was taken first to Cape Cod Hospital, but was later flown to a Boston area hospital for treatment on the non-life-threatening injuries.
Additional units also responded, finding a damaged car a short distance away on High School Road. The car likely fled the scene of the shooting and crashed into an uninvolved vehicle, police said.

The passengers in that car were unharmed in the accident.
Police determined that the shooting wasn't a random act of violence and are continuing an investigation.
