10 Dolphins Rescued in Barnstable

Ten stranded dolphins were rescued in Barnstable, wildlife officials said.

BARNSTABLE, MA — Ten dolphins stranded on Sandy Neck in Barnstable over the weekend were rescued.

The International Find for Animal Welfare rescue team herded the dolphins to safety after they were found on a remote section of the neck. They were in two groups of six and four.

"They were re-floated back out and our team used herding techniques to encourage them out to deeper water," the welfare group said in a statement.
