2 Injured In Marstons Mills School Bus, Dump Truck Crash

MARSTONS MILLS, MA — Two people were taken to area hospitals after a traffic accident between a school bus and a dump truck on Monday morning, officials from the Centerville-Osterville-Marstons Mills Fire-Resuce and Emergency Services said.

Fire officials were sent to the area of River Road and Rosa Lane in Marstons Mills for a crash that occurred around 7:20 a.m. on Monday. The school bus was heavily damaged in the accident, officials said.

The school bus was empty of students, but crews needed to use extraction equipment to free the bus driver, who was taken to South Shore Hospital.

No extrication equipment was needed for the driver of the 1-ton dump truck, but they were taken to Cape Cod Hospital.

Barnstable police, along with the Massachusetts State Police, are investigating the cause of the accident.
