YARMOUTH, MA — Two people were killed and another was critically injured in a horrific crash in Yarmouth over the weekend. The deceased individuals were identified as:
- Caroline Liberty, 22, of West Yarmouth
- Thomas Ardan, 56, of Charlton
Police said Liberty was driving a GMC Sierra and Ardan was a passenger in an Audi Q7 when the vehicles collided on Saturday at about 10:40 p.m. on Buck Island Road. Ardan's wife, Mary, 60, was driving the Audi and sustained life-threatening injuries, police said.
Authorities were investigating the cause of the crash.

The crash happened near the entrance to the Halcyon condominium complex.
"The thoughts and prayers of all of us at the Yarmouth Police Department are with the families ... involved in this tragedy," police said in a statement.
