24th Annual Joe Cronin Memorial Fishing Tournament to benefit the Jimmy Fund - August 4
Annual fishing tournament raises money for cancer research and patient care at Dana-Farber
BOSTON – Calling all fishing fanatics! Enjoy a fun-filled day of fishing for a great cause at the 24h annual Joe Cronin Memorial Fishing Tournament to benefit the Jimmy Fund, held August 4, 2017 at the Nauticus Marina on West Bay Road in Osterville, MA.
Registration will begin at 6.45 a.m. and all participants will cast off at 8:00 a.m. The daylong event includes children’s activities such as face painting and magic shows as well as silent and live auctions, cocktail party, dinner buffet and awards ceremony. All proceeds from the tournament will benefit the Jimmy Fund to support cancer research and patient care at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
The tournament, which honors the life of the late Red Sox All-Star, American League President, and Baseball Hall of Famer Joe Cronin, has raised more than $5 million for Dana-Farber since its inception in 1993.
