Hyannis Armed Robbery: 2 Charged

BARNSTABLE, MA — Barnstable police said they arrested two men in connection with an armed robbery with shots fired at the Willow Tree Market in Hyannis over the weekend.
Lamar Pringle, 19, of Hyannis, and Cody Martin, 19, with no fixed address, were arrested Sunday following the Saturday night robbery, police said. Both suspects were armed with pistols when they stormed the market at about 8:35 p.m. Martin shot at an employee, who was not hit by the bullet, police said. The pair then stole cash and fled, police said.
On Sunday, patrol officers spotted Pringle, Martin, and a juvenile walking on Main Street in Hyannis. The trio were arrested on the spot.

Martin was charged with:
- Armed robbery
- Assault with a weapon
- Unlawful possession of a firearm
- Larceny
- Robbery with a firearm
Martin also had three warrants out of Barnstable District Court, police said. Pringle was charged with armed robbery and the juvenile was charged with illegally possessing a gun. Martin and Pringle were held without bail pending a dangerousness hearing this week. The juvenile was placed in the custody of the Department of Children & Families.
