3 Rescued After Boat Sinks Off Cape Cod
The Coast Guard this weekend rescued three people off Cape Cod after their boat sank.
PROVINCENTOWN, MA — Three people were rescued in after their boat sank in Pamet Harbor off Provincetown, according to the Coast Guard. The trio had flotation devices and were uninjured.
They were in a 14-foot aluminum boat when it flipped over Friday at about 3 p.m. They had borrowed the boat from another man who was on land and saw them in the water; he called the Coast Guard immediately.
A Coast Guard boat was dispatched to the scene and pulled the boaters aboard. Two men were wearing life jackets and a woman was clinging to an inflatable device, according to Coast Guard Officer Meghan Fuller. The boat had already sank by the time the Coast Guard arrived.
