5 People Rescued From Boat Taking On Water Off Cape Cod Coast
Yarmouth Natural Resources was called to a 23-foot boat off Point Gammon taking on water. One passenger also had a medical issue.

YARMOUTH, MA — Officials with Yarmouth Natural Resources rescued five people after their boat started taking in water off the coast of Cape Cod.
Just before 9 a.m., Thursday, Yarmouth Natural Resources was called to a boat off Point Gammon. Officials said the 23-foot boat took on water, and one of the people aboard had a medical issue.
Officials with Yarmouth Natural Resources, Yarmouth and Hyannis firefighters, the Barnstable harbormaster and the U.S. Coast Guard came to rescue the boaters and assess the damage.

Yarmouth fire officials brought the person with a medical issue to Cape Cod Hospital's ramp, but the person refused transport to the hospital. The other emergency officials used a J49 boat to tow the disabled vessel.
