Accused Cape Cod Cop Killer Indicted For Murder

A grand jury indicted "career criminal" Thomas Latanowich on multiple charges.

BARNSTABLE, MA – A grand jury in Barnstable County has indicted the man accused of killing Yarmouth Police Officer Sean Gannon on multiple charges, including murder.

Authorities say 29-year-old "career criminal" Thomas Latanowich shot and killed Gannon April 12 as Gannon, his K-9 Nero and six Barnstable and Yarmouth officers tried to arrest him at a Blueberry Lane residence in Marstons Mills.

Investigators believe Latanowich was hiding behind insulation in the attic of the home and shot Gannon and Nero after Gannon removed it. He then allegedly disassembled the gun and threw bullets in the toilet as officers closed in on him.
