After 13th DUI, Barnstable Man Sentenced

A Barnstable man charged with his 13th DUI charge received a stiff prison sentence Tuesday.

BARNSTABLE, MA — The 13th time certainly was not the charm for a repeat DUI offender from Barnstable man who received a stiff prison sentence Tuesday.

Frederick Yeomans, Jr., 66, was sentenced to five years in prison and another two years in jail following a trial in Barnstable Superior Court.

Police said on Sept. 18, Yeomans was arrested on his 13th DUI charge in Barnstable. A concerned citizen called police after seeing him drive erratically on Route 132.

Yeomans was convicted of an enhanced DUI charge for being convicted four or more times. His rap sheet also includes an assault and battery arrest in 2012.
