YARMOUTH, MA — A 25-year-old woman was brought to Cape Cod Hospital in Hyannis around 7 p.m. Wednesday, after the SUV she was driving jumped a curb on U.S. Route 6.
The red GMC Terrain was traveling east on the highway, near the Barnstable town line, then veered off and hit a guardrail near Willow Street.
No other vehicles were involved in the crash, the Hyannis News reported. State police did not disclose the woman’s name or condition. But she was “banged up” according to responders, the newspaper said.
The News reported that the police had been looking for an erratic driver in the area just moments before the collision. An investigation is continuing.
