HYANNIS, MA — Hyannis is calling on residents to help keep the community green by taking advantage of a free tree-planting program.
The village has been working to expand its tree canopy, and only 300 trees remain available for planting. Eligible residents in the greater Hyannis area can sign up to have a tree planted for free on their property.
The final planting season is scheduled for spring 2027, but residents can reserve their spot now before all the trees are claimed.
Those interested in participating are encouraged to check the program's planting zone to determine whether their property qualifies.
