Army Vet ID'd As Victim In Fatal Cape Cod Crash

CAPE COD, MA — One person is dead after a hit-and-run crash on Saturday on Cape Cod, local police said.

Timothy Duval, 24, an Army veteran from Tallahassee, Florida, was identified as the person who died in the Wellfleet crash. Officials said the young father was visiting the area on vacation and spending an evening with friends.

"At some point during the night, he became separated from the group and was walking along Ocean View Drive when he was fatally struck," police said. "The exact circumstances surrounding the incident remain under investigation."

No arrests have been made in the case, though police said they are following up on "multiple" leads. Officials believe the car involved is either a pickup truck or an SUV.
