Author Panel on Writing and Publishing at Jacob Sears Library
ABITH (A Book in the Hand) will host three local authors on Monday, Nov. 14, for a special panel on writing novels and paths to publication.

ABITH (A Book in the Hand) will meet on Monday, November 14, from 7 to 8:30 pm, at the Jacob Sears Memorial Library, 23 Center Street, East Dennis, and will present a panel discussion featuring three experienced--and prolific--published authors, Katie O’Sullivan, Kathryn Knight, and Kevin Symmons. The discussion will be divided into two segments, each followed by a Q&A period. The topics are: The Journey to Publication which will deal with the pros and cons of living (or not) with agents and publishers; and how to use The Writer’s Tool Box--the mechanics of English, editing, proofing--to make your book the best it can be, inside and out.
Kathryn, Katie, and Kevin have spoken together before, and will present a comprehensive program. If you are a first-time author working toward publication, please attend and learn a few tricks of the trade. If you’re already published, fresh ideas are always good.
We will have our usual free raffle, and you will be able to buy books at the end of the program.
The meeting is free and open to the public. Please forward this announcement to anyone you think might be interested.
A Book in the Hand meets monthly to celebrate the printed page and the spoken word by sponsoring readings by Cape Cod authors of published prose. For information, or if you are an author interested in participating as a reader, call or email: 508-432-5907 or
