BARNSTABLE, MA — Record scratch, school can't be just around the corner can it? As the summer comes to an end, you'll want to mark your calendars for Aug. 28 – the first day of school for students.

Here's a look at the Barnstable Public Schools' 2019-2020 calendar, which includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, holidays and early dismissals.

AUGUST

26th – Staff Convocation/No School for Students
27th – Staff Day/No School for Students
28th – First Day of School for Grades 1 – 12 Students/Orientation for Kindergarten* and Pre-K Only

30th – Schools Closed

SEPTEMBER

2nd – Labor Day/No School
3rd – First Day of School for Pre-K
18th - District PD/Half Day for Students

OCTOBER

NOVEMBER

11th – Veterans’ Day/No School
20th - District PD/Half Day for Students
