Barnstable 2023 Election Preview
Six contested Town Council races highlight the 2023 local election slate in Barnstable. Here's what to know ahead of Nov. 7.

BARNSTABLE, MA — There are six contested races in Barnstable's local elections this year, which will see voters cast ballots for Town Council, School Committee and Housing Authority.
Precincts 1, 2, 5,9, 11 and 12 have two candidates in the running for the position, and there's a sneaky seventh race in Precinct 6, where a write-in candidate — Paul Phalan — is hoping to challenge Paul Neary, according to a Cape Cod Times report.
Three seats are available on the Barnstable Housing Authority, but only one candidate has filed to run in the race.

Election Day Voting
Election Day is scheduled for Nov. 7 with polls set to open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Polling locations are as follows:
P-1: Zion Union Church, 805 Attucks Lane, Hyannis
P-2: St. George’s Greek Orthodox Church, 1130 Falmouth Road, Centerville
P-3: Barnstable Adult Community Center, 825 Falmouth Road, Hyannis
P-4: Our Lady of Victory Hall, 230 South Main Street, Centerville
P-5: Osterville (COMM) Fire Station, 999 Main Street, Osterville
P-6: Gym of Christ Chapel, 2-C Oak Street, Centerville
P-7: Freedom Hall, 976 Main Street, Cotuit
P-8: Hyannis Youth & Community Center (Rink), 141 Bassett Lane, Hyannis
P-9: Hyannis Youth & Community Center (Rink), 141 Bassett Lane, Hyannis
P-10: 7th Day Adventist Community Bldg, 2736 Falmouth Road, Marstons Mills
