Barnstable Area Locals Among Sheriff’s Office Promotions
The Barnstable County Sheriff's Office held a promotion ceremony on Jan. 10 for more than 20 corrections officers.
BARNSTABLE, MA — The Barnstable County Sheriff’s Office has promoted several corrections officers, including multiple from Barnstable.
The newly promoted officers were honored during a ceremony on Jan. 10 at Mashpee Middle-High School.
“Congratulations to the members of our staff, who have proven they are ready to take on more responsibilities and leadership roles,” said Sheriff Donna D. Buckley. “They will enhance the safety and well-being of their colleagues and incarcerated individuals. Together we will forge innovative pathways to improve public safety and provide second chances.”

- Lieutenant Jeffrey Wiseman, Centerville
- Lieutenant Jason Vermette, Marstons Mills
- Sergeant Tyler LaFrance, Centerville
- Sergeant Christopher Potter, Marstons Mills
