Barnstable Coronavirus: Schools Provide Meals During Shutdown

Barnstable Public Schools said it will offer meal pickups to any child under 18 regardless of school district.

BARNSTABLE, MA — Barnstable Public Schools said Monday it will expand its school meal program to offer breakfast and lunch to any child under 18, regardless of their lunch benefit status, town of residence or school attended during the three-week, state-ordered closure of all Massachusetts schools.

Meal pickups will be available "grab and go style" between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. on weekdays at the following locations:

  • Barnstable Intermediate School
  • Barnstable United Elementary School
  • Hyannis West Elementary School
  • Hyannis Youth and Community Center
