BARNSTABLE, MA — The 2021 municipal election will be held Nov. 2 in Barnstable. There will be contested races for city council and school committee.

Candidates for town council, school committee, housing authority and town clerk will be on the ballot in Barnstable's town election, but just two races this year will be contested.

Barnstable, which has half its town council members up for election every other year, has even numbered districts on the ballot this year, running for four year terms. But just one of those districts will see a contested race. That's Precinct 12, where incumbent Paula Schnepp will square off against Donald Lynde.
