Barnstable Election Results: Charter Changes Approved

Barnstable election results November 7, 2017: voters decided on town charter amendments and a directive regarding spent nuclear waste.

BARNSTABLE, MA — Barnstable voters on Tuesday approved a host of charter amendments and a directive regarding spent nuclear waste during the municipal election. Several council candidates were also elected.

The charter amendments involved preliminary town elections and councilors serving consecutive terms, among other items. The second question was a non-binding measure asking voters if they should issue a directive regarding spent nuclear waste at the Pilgrim plant in Plymouth.
