Barnstable Food Pantries Receive Boost From New Grant

A grant helps Barnstable food pantries fight hunger.

BARNSTABLE, MA —A major funding boost is on the way to help Barnstable food pantries fight hunger and put more food on the tables of residents in need.

On Monday, Oct. 26, Barnstable County officials announced in a press release that the county had received a $248,084 grant from the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection.

The funding will help Cape Cod community partners strengthen connections with local food pantries, improve food distribution and ensure more donated food reaches those who need it most.
