Barnstable Gang Member's Old Man Disguise Fails: Police

A Barnstable gang member's elaborate old man disguise didn't fool police: in case you missed it.

SOUTH YARMOUTH, MA — A Hyannis man wanted in an investigation into the Nauti Street Gang, who was disguised in realistic "old man" makeup, was arrested Thursday in South Yarmouth, according to the Massachusetts District Attorney's office.

Shaun Miller, 31, was arrested pending a detention hearing scheduled for Aug. 31. In April, Miller, along with several others was indicted and wanted as part of a larger criminal complaint into the Nauti Street Gang, according to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. At least 12 others in the complaint have been indicted on firearms and drug trafficking charges.

On Thursday, officers surrounded a residence in South Yarmouth where Miller was believed to be staying. Authorities ordered Miller to come out of the residence, but Miller came out looking like a much older version of himself, according to the DA.

The federal case against Miller is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Eric Rosen of Ortiz’s Narcotics and Money Laundering Unit, according to a statement from the DA.

Earlier this year, the Nauti gang was the target of an undercover sting by federal and local authorities on Cape Cod. Thirteen alleged gang members were arrested; three were charged with murder. Police said the gang ran a large heroin distribution ring on the Cape.
