Barnstable Hosts Hazardous Waste Collection

The collection, meant for household hazardous waste, is scheduled for Saturday. Here's what to know.

BARNSTABLE, MA — The Town of Barnstable Department of Public Works Solid Waste Division, in collaboration with Barnstable County, will host a household hazardous waste collection this weekend. Collection is scheduled for Saturday at the Transfer Station, 45 Flint St., at the Marstons Mills, from 9 a.m. to noon.

Participants must have a current full Transfer Station sticker. Without a current sticker, participants must show proof of year-round residency, or residential property ownership, in the Town of Barnstable to participate in the collection.

Stickers are available at the office by appointment, by mail or online.

  • Pesticides and lawn chemicals
  • Cleaners and disinfectants
  • Arts and crafts hobby supplies
  • Auto and boat fluids
  • Pool chemicals
