Barnstable Kindergarten Registration Open For 2023-204

BARNSTABLE, MA — Barnstable Public Schools have opened registration for parents hoping to enroll their kids in kindergarten during the 2023-2024 school year.

Students must be 5-years-old by Sept. 1, 2023, to be eligible for kindergarten during the coming school year. Only full-time Barnstable residents are eligible.

Here's what else the district wants you to know:

• Complete the pre-registration process online and schedule a registration appointment on the last page of the application. Appointments are at the Family and Community Engagement Center, 141 Bassett Ln., Hyannis, MA 02601.
• Bring all required documents with you to the appointment. If you do not have all of the documents, our staff will help you to find a way to obtain these so that you can finish your registration. The student does not need to be present at the appointment.
• Registrations completed before May 1st will be entered into a drawing for a book gift basket.
• If applying to the Barnstable Community Innovation School, the last day to complete registration is May 12th and the lottery will take place for registered students on May 17th. All paperwork must be completed and the registration sealed by May 12th.
