WEST BARNSTABLE, MA — Barnstable Land Trust is offering a week of tree-mendous programming to celebrate Earth Week. During the month of April at Sturgis Library (Barnstable Village), the public is invited to hang a wish for planet earth on the hand-crafted BLT wish tree made from fallen branches. Saturday, April 20 Honor the Earth Fair 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Join BLT and other planet protectors at this celebration co-hosted by co-hosted by the Native Land Conservancy and the Mashpee Wampanoag Natural Resources Department. FREE

Monday, April 22 Celebrating Earth Day with the Poetry of Mary Oliver 10 a.m.

Be inspired by the words of Mary Oliver and the debut of the Walking Readers Group led by retired librarian, Ellen Snoeyenbos, for this innovative event inspired by a popular program in the United Kingdom. Fee/Preregistration required.

Monday, April 22 Earth Day Maker Monday 5 p.m.

Explore nature through art in this special Maker Monday program in partnership with Cape Cod Collaborative Arts Network and Cotuit Center for the Arts. Fee/Preregistration required.

Friday, April 26 Birding with BLT 7:30 a.m.

Spring Migration on Cape Cod is something to be seen and heard. Join BLT expert Tommy Burgess for a morning walk filled with birdsong. Fee/Preregistration required.
