Barnstable PD Joins Pink Patch Project For Breast Cancer Research

BARNSTABLE, MA — October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, and Barnstable police are joining hundreds of first responders across the country and switching their usual police patches in for pink ones. Officers will be wearing the patches as well as selling them — it's all part of the Pink Patch Project.

The Pink Patch Project is a nationwide awareness campaign where police departments sell pink patches during National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The Barnstable Police Department will be selling a limited edition patch which showcases the Town of Barnstable seal in pink. The patches are $10 for large patches and $5 for small ones.

All proceeds will go to a breast cancer charity.

Patches can be purchased until the end of October at the Barnstable police station.

You can also request a patch by mail. Cash and check only. Checks can be made out to Barnstable Police Association and sent to P.O. Box B Hyannis, MA 02601.
