Barnstable Police Log: May 5-8

A mother's day assault on a pregnant woman, larcenies, assault and batteries and more kept police busy this weekend.

The following incidents, accidents and arrests took place in the town of Barnstable. All information was taken from the Barnstable Police Department log, includes all arrests and all suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

 Thursday, May 5

12:14 a.m. - Larceny was reported at 26 Yarmouth Rd., Apt. 7A, Hyannis report taken.

12:47 a.m. - An intoxicated person disturbance was reported at 58 Yarmouth Rd., Hyannis, transported to hospital.

12:51 a.m. - A fight disturbance was reported at Mc Donald's, report taken.

1:12 a.m. - Police provided medical assistance at 500 Main St., Hyannis, transported to hospital.

No Time Available - Larceny was reported at 405 Ames Way, Centerville, advised.

9:58 a.m. - A domestic assault and battery was reported at 940 West Main St., Centerville, report taken. Police arrested Amy Denise Beltzer of the same address, for assault by a dangerous weapon, intimidation of a witness and assault and battery domestic violence.

11:50 a.m. - Domestic threats were reported at 945 Santuit-Newtown Rd., Marstons Mills, report taken.

12:37 p.m. - Police were called for a well being assist at Mc Donald's, advised.

12:33 p.m. - A disturbance was reported at 231 Monomoy Cr., Centerville, serviced.

12:54 p.m. - Police followed up on a previous case at 595 Pitcher's Way, Hyannis and arrested Dennis P. Kelley of the same address for unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition and violating the armed career criminal act.

1:05 p.m. - Suspicious activity was reported on Lumbert Mill Road, Centerville, advised.

1:57 p.m. - Larceny was reported at the YMCA, serviced.

2:31 p.m. - Police were called for medical assist at Cape Cod Community College, report taken.

3:09 p.m. - A suspicious motor vehicle was reported at 90 Putnam Ave. and Lowell Avenue, Cotuit, serviced.

3:16 p.m. - An accident with personal injury was reported at Main Street and Swift Avenue, Osterville, report taken. Police issued a summons to Arthur G. Stein of 34 Crossway Pl., Osterville for running a red light, marked lanes and operating to endanger. 

3:24 p.m. - A domestic verbal argument was reported at Falmouth Road and Lumbert Mill Road, serviced.

4:05 p.m. - Larceny was reported at Star Laundromat on Bearse's Way, report taken.

5:41 p.m. - Bicycle larceny was reported at 173 Hinckley Rd., Hyannis, advised.

6:14 p.m. - Police were called for a PC eval at Cape Cod Hospital, protective custody. Police placed John Crave of 200 Stevens St., Apt. A18, Hyannis in protective custody.

6:25 p.m. - Police were called for an assist at Stuart Street, Hyannis, serviced.

7:09 p.m. - A disturbance was reported at Washington Avenue and Chestnut Street, Hyannis, arrest made. Police arrested Jeffery Randall of 17 Washington St., Hyannis on four outstanding warrants. 

7:20 p.m. - Police responded to a domestic assault and battery at 242 Old Town Rd., Hyannis, report taken. Police charged Bruce Gibson MacDonald with assault and battery domestic violence.

7:56 p.m. - A break-in was reported at 940 West Main St., Apt. 1, Centerville, report taken.

8:06 p.m. - Police were called for medical assistance at 176 Hinckley Rd., Hyannis, serviced.

8:09 p.m. - Unwanted harassment was reported at Pineneedle Ln., Hyannis, serviced.

8:26 p.m. - Police were called for a medical assist at Fresh Ketch, serviced.

9:04 p.m. - A suspicious motor vehicle was reported at Rite Aid on Barnstable Rd., Hyannis, serviced.

9:06 p.m. - A suspicious person was reported at Oak Street and Spruce Street, Hyannis, advised.

9:47 p.m. - Police were called for a medical assist at 99 Sea St., Hyannis, serviced.

10:06 p.m. - A fight was reported at 979 Falmouth Rd., Apt. D9, Hyannis, advised.

10:46 p.m. - Police made a liquor arrest at Sam Diego's. Olivia Pearl Yingling of 22 Laura Rd., Centerville was arrested for minor possession of alcohol. 

11:32 p.m. - A disturbance was reported at Cammett Way, Marstons Mills, advised.

Friday, May 6

12:20 a.m. - Harassing phone calls were reported at 6 Linda Ln., Hyannis, report taken.

12:27 a.m. - Police conducted a motor vehicle stop, arrest made. Police arrested Corey Anthony Rapoza, Homeless, for OUI-liquor, operating to endanger, operating without a license, operating with an open container, going the wrong way down a one-way street and failure to wear a seat belt.

1:39 a.m. - Police responded to a domestic assault and battery, protective custody. Police placed Brian Louis Kelley of 45 Higgins Crowell Rd., West Yarmouth in protective custody.

2:39 a.m. - A suspicious motor vehicle was reported at Veteran's Beach, advised.

6:57 a.m. - Larceny was reported at 67 School St., Hyannis, serviced.

8:18 a.m. - Police were called for an assist at 535 Phinney's Ln., Centerville, advised.

9:03 a.m. - A disturbance was reported at CVS on North Street, advised.

9:05 a.m. - Police followed up on a previous case at Cape Cod Winwater and arrested Josimar Soares Pego of 67 Park St., Hyannis for larceny more than $250, hammer drill and malicious destruction of property more than $250. Pego allegedly stole a hammer drill at the request of another person, lifted tools from a job site and punched out a window to a work truck. 

9:44 a.m. - Police were called for medical assist at Barnstable Municipal Airport, transported to hospital.

10:28 a.m. - A break-in was reported at Women's Workout World, report taken.

10:59 a.m. - Police assisted in keeping the peace at 31 Thornton Dr., Barnstable, serviced.

11:11 a.m. - A disorderly person disturbance was reported at Capeway Towing, advised.

11:16 a.m. - Police were called or a medical assist at 231 Monomoy Cr., Centerville, serviced.

12:51 p.m. - Larceny was reported at Cape Regency, no report filed.

1:55 p.m. - Domestic threats were reported at 945 Santuit-Newtown Rd., Marstons Mills, report taken.

2:19 p.m. - Suspicious activity was reported at the Senior Center, advised.

2:22 p.m. - Unwanted harassment was reported at Christmas Tree Shops, serviced.

2:43 p.m. - Suspicious activity was reported at Bretwood Ln., Centerville, advised.

3:04 p.m. - Harassing phone calls were reported at 290 West Main St., Apt. 132, Hyannis, advised.

3:10 p.m. - A break-in was reported at 91 Strawberry Hill Rd., Centerville, report taken.

4:37 p.m. - Police were called for a medical assist at BP on Barnstable Road, transported to hospital.

6:34 p.m. - Unwanted harassment was reported at 236 Megan Rd., Hyannis, advised.

6:45 p.m. - Police conducted a motor vehicle stop outside Fitness 500 and arrested Perckson F. Fernandes of 961 Pitcher's Way, Apt. 5, Hyannis for operating a motor vehicle without a license or registration and on two outstanding warrants.

7:17 p.m. - A domestic verbal argument was reported at the Village at Fawcetts Pond, advised.

7:45 p.m. - A hit and run was reported at Stop and Shop on Independence Drive, Hyannis, report taken.

8:09 p.m. - Police conducted a motor vehicle stop and arrested Eduardo Fernandez of 15 Capt Wright Rd., South Yarmouth on a warrant for breaking and entering, a warrant for identity fraud, and two Falmouth warrants.

10:09 p.m. - Police arrested George Jordan of 6 Dolphin Ln., Hyannis for an open alcoholic container, operating with a revoked license and defective equipment.

12:26 a.m. - Harassing threats were reported at Cape Cod Hospital, serviced.

12:47 a.m. - Barking dogs were reported at 633 Osterville W. Barnstable R., Marstons Mills, serviced.

1:10 a.m. - A fight was reported at 4 Bassett Ln., Hyannis. Police placed Alexander McHugh of 17 Craig Rd., West Dennis and Christopher Stewart of 284 Old Bass River Rd., South Dennis in protective custody.

1:26 a.m. - An intoxicated person disturbance was reported at 43 St. Catherine St., Hyannis, protective custody. Police placed Scott Steven Russo of the same address in protective custody.

1:37 a.m. - Police were called for assistance at 207 Hinckley Rd., Hyannis, serviced.

1:50 a.m. - Groups disturbance was reported at 95 Nautical Way, Hyannis, serviced.

2:07 a.m. - A cruiser accident was reported at 72 Nautical Way, Hyannis, report taken.

3:21 a.m. - A suspicious motor vehicle was reported at 3821 Falmouth Rd., Marstons Mills, advised.

3:37 p.m. - A noise disturbance was reported at 15 Fresh Holes Rd., Hyannis, advised.

4:37 p.m. - A missing person was reported at 180 Main St., Hyannis, report taken.

4:38 p.m. - Harassing threats were reported at 26 Yarmouth Rd., Hyannis, advised.

5:14 p.m. - A suspicious person was reported at Cape Cod Mall Parking Lot, serviced.

5:22 p.m. - Police were called for a well being assist at Hyundai Store, advised.

5:22 p.m. - An intoxicated person disturbance was reported at AC Moore, transported to hospital.

5:31 p.m. - A domestic assault and battery was reported at Wendy's, arrest made. Police arrested Jeffery S. Randall of 17 Washington Rd., Hyannis, for assault and battery and assault or assault and battery on a pregnant victim. According to the arrest report, three witnesses reported seeing Randall knee the pregnant victim, his girlfriend, in the stomach in the parking lot outside Wendy's. The pair allegedly left the scene and were caught walking down Bearse's Way. The reporting officer said he saw the victim holding her stomach in pain but refused medical attention when she realized her boyfriend was being arrested. The victim claimed nothing happened.

5:37 p.m. - Suspicious activity was reported at Mary Lou's Coffee, advised.

6:20 p.m. - A break-in was reported at 401 Shootflying Hill Rd., Centerville, report taken.

6:40 p.m. - An overdose was reported at Burger King, transported to hospital. 

7:26 p.m. - A hit and run was reported at BJ's, summons issued. Police issued a summons to Renee Riker of 248 Camp St., West Yarmouth for leaving the scene of an accident with property damage.

7:25 p.m. - Suspicious activity was reported at 3 Hiramar Rd., Hyannis, serviced.

7:52 p.m. - An intoxicated person disturbance was reported at 19 Spring St., Hyannis, protective custody. Police placed Bobby B. Smith of the same address in protective custody.

7:56 p.m. - Police were called for a well being assist at the NOAH Shelter, serviced.

8:20 p.m. - Police were called for a civil assist at 239 Phinney's Ln., Hyannis, serviced.

8:38 p.m. - Fireworks were reported on Sturgis Lane, Barnstable, serviced.

11:00 p.m. - Police responded to suspicious activity at Courtyard Resorts and arrested Jeremiah P. Ponte of 77 Winter St., Hyannis for possession of a class b substance (crack) with intent to distribute, possession of a class d substance with intent to distribute and unlawful possession of a weapon. Police reported they watched a hand-to-hand drug transaction while on a special assignment for street crime. Police found $143, a digital scale, a fixed blade knife, stun gun and 5 grams of crack cocaine on Ponte and marijuana.

1:18 a.m. - Larceny was reported at The Steakhouse on North Street, Hyannis, serviced.

1:49 a.m. - A party disturbance was reported at 36 Cardinal Ln., Marstons Mills, advised.

1:34 a.m. - Police were called for a medical assist at 1800 South County Rd., Marstons Mills, advised.

1:38 a.m. - A noise disturbance was reported at 77 Pleasant St., Hyannis, advised.

3:04 a.m. - A party disturbance was reported at 50 Bent Tree Dr., Centerville, advised.

6:50 a.m. - A suspicious person was reported at Kalmus Beach, serviced.

8:02 a.m. - A suspicious motor vehicle was reported at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, serviced.

8:06 a.m. - A suspicious person was reported at 800 Bearse's Way, Hyannis, advised.

8:31 a.m. - Vandalism was reported at 34 Pond. St., Centerville, serviced.

8:56 a.m. - An intoxicated person disturbance was reported at Cape Cod Melody Tent, arrest made. Police placed Craig M. Johnson of 148 West Main St., Apt. D314, Hyannis in protective custody.

9:08 a.m. - Vandalism was reported at 230 Church St., West Barnstable, serviced.

8:43 p.m. - Police responded to a domestic assault and battery and arrested Justin Lee Washington of 260 Oak Neck Rd., Hyannis for assault and battery domestic violence, malicious destruction of property more than $250 and intimidation of a witness. Washington allegedly threw the mother of his girlfriend and destroyed a TV.

8:55 p.m. - Police were called for a well being assist at 7-Eleven on North Street, transported to hospital.
