Barnstable Police Selling Patches To Raise Money For Autism Awareness

The proceeds will benefit local autism organizations on Cape Cod.

BARNSTABLE, MA — April is Autism Awareness Month, and the Barnstable Police Department will sell autism awareness patches to help local nonprofits on Cape Cod.

Barnstable police will sell police patches for $10 at the police station at 1200 Phinneys Lane all month.

"You may see some of our officers wearing our special Autism Awareness patch as we help to raise money for local Autism programs on Cape Cod," Barnstable police said in a statement. "Autism affects nearly 1 in 44 and early intervention affords the best opportunity to support healthy development and deliver benefits across the lifespan."
