The educational presentation is scheduled Friday morning in Osterville.
BARNSTABLE, MA — As criminals become more clever, the public needs to become more fraud-aware. That’s the subject of an educational presentation Friday by the Barnstable Police Department.
“Scam and Fraud Awareness” is scheduled for today at 10:30 a.m. in the Osterville Village Library. Police investigators will discuss how scams work, warning signs to watch for, and practical steps to protect personal and financial information. You’ll also learn tips on reporting fraud and what to do if you believe you’ve been targeted.
The program is designed to help residents stay informed, alert and safe, police said. It’s free, and the library is at 43 Wianno Ave., in Osterville Village.
