This post is a news release from the Town of Barnstable.
BARNSTABLE, MA — The Town of Barnstable is currently working to update the Town’s Local Comprehensive Plan (LCP) which is a town-wide land use plan that will guide Barnstable’s future over the next ten years. The Local Comprehensive Planning Committee invites the community to review the draft Phase I Vision Statement, which is now open for public comment through close of business Thursday, June 15th.
In collaboration with the project consultant, Dodson & Flinker, the Committee engaged in a robust exercise to develop the draft Vision Statement reflecting upon key themes from public outreach, data defined within the Existing Conditions Report, and community feedback for priorities, values, and vision elements expressed at the ‘Bringing It Together’ Workshops. The Vision Statement serves to express shared values for future development and resource protection and represents a growth policy for the community.
