Barnstable Residents Can Get Emergency Rental, Mortgage Help

Barnstable residents unable to pay their rent or mortgage amid the coronavirus pandemic may be eligible for emergency relief.

BARNSTABLE, MA — Barnstable residents unable to pay their rent or mortgage due to income loss amid the coronavirus pandemic may be eligible for emergency assistance.

Town officials said residents can apply for relief through the Workforce Housing Relief Fund administered by the Housing Assistance Corporation. The application and additional information about the Fund are available on the Housing Assistance Corporation’s website.

Officials said the Town of Barnstable’s Affordable Housing Growth and Development Trust Fund contributed $300,000 to the Housing Assistance Corporation’s Workforce Housing Relief Fund.
