Barnstable Route 28 Sewer Project Continues, Delays Likely

BARNSTABLE, MA — Sewer construction within Route 28 continues to progress. Due to the location of construction crews, starting Wednesday, November 1, 2023, the previous Route 28 eastbound detour will be modified to utilize Lincoln Road, in place of Pitchers Way. Westbound traffic on Route 28 will continue to be maintained. Businesses on Route 28 will remain accessible via posted detours and with support from onsite traffic control.

Motorists should expect delays. As always, please slow down and use extreme caution when traveling through road construction areas, and follow posted safety and detour signs.
