Barnstable: Vineyard Wind Project Closes Part Of Craigville Beach Road

Craigville Beach Road will be closed from Centerville Avenue to Old Town Road this week. So take your horse somewhere else.

BARNSTABLE, MA — A portion of Craigville Beach Road will be closed this week as electrical cable is pulled as part of a Vineyard Wind project.

The closure start Tuesday and continues through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Barnstable officials said.

According to officials, Vineyard Wind’s contractor will be pulling electrical cable between valve vaults along Craigville Beach Road from Covell’s Beach to Strawberry Hill Road.

During this time, Craigville Beach Road will be closed from Centerville Avenue to Old Town Road with access to local traffic only.

Businesses within the area will remain open.
