Barnstable Town Council President Jim Crocker Dies
"My favorite thing about Barnstable is the lengthy library of stories and memories it has given me," Crocker said in his Patch candidate profile before his death. "The smell of the seasons, all the familiar locations, and any local character's name will bring a momentary smile to my face. It had been a great place to grow up and raise a family in." WATCH: Killer Whale Swims Alongside Dolphins Off Cape Cod
A fishing charter captured an "unbelievable" video of a killer whale swimming alongside dolphins off Cape Cod. West Chatham-based company Got Stryper Charters and Baits posted the video, commenting, "One of the most amazing things I've seen in awhile." Read more here.

Rare Blue Lobster Ends Up At Cape Cod Restaurant
A rare blue lobster was shipped to a seafood restaurant on Cape Cod. The crustacean was among a shipment Arnold's Lobster & Clam Bar in Eastham received. Read more here.
Drugs Found Near Unconscious Barnstable School Employee: PD
An employee at Barnstable-West Barnstable Elementary School was found unconscious, and according to Principal Elizabeth Forbes, police are investigating after drugs were found at the scene. Around 4:30 p.m., Forbes found the staff member unresponsive on a loading dock outside the school, she said in an email she sent to parents. Read more here.
Cape Cod Mall Announces New Tenant As Part Of Redevelopment
Dick's Sporting Goods will open at Cape Cod Mall next year as part of the shopping center's redevelopment. The 46,000-square-foot store will be the chain's first location on Cape Cod. Read more here.
