Barnstable's Town Podcast Launches On Streaming Platforms
Learn about town history, art, town budgets, beach stickers, dog licenses and more on "Discover Barnstable," the town's official podcast.
BARNSTABLE, MA — Barnstable town officials are trying a new way to keep residents in the know.
The town on Feb. 3 launched "Discover Barnstable, the official town podcast.
"Discover Barnstable speaks to the Town of Barnstable’s Mission to protect the quality of life and unique character, engage our citizens, and enact policies that respond to and anticipate the needs of our community," town officials said in a statement Tuesday.

The podcasts are hosted by Digital Content Manager Paula Hersey, Licensing Director Liz Hartsgrove and Communication Director Lynne Poyant. Behind the scenes are Channel 18 Station Manager Sarah Beal-Fletcher and Video Specialist Stone Dow.
The first episode is an introduction to the podcast and upcoming episodes showcase topics such as: Town budgets, beach stickers, dog licenses, moorings, doing business in Barnstable, having a career with the town, town history, arts and culture and more.
