Body Of Cape Man Found After Tragic Ice Fall: Reports

Jerry Boucher and his wife, Kit Boucher, both died when they fell Feb. 14 into icy waters along the Eastham shore.

EASTHAM, MA — The body of a man who died after falling through river ice here, along with his wife, has been recovered.

Jerry Boucher, 72, was found Friday morning, according to reports from WCVB-TV 5 and other media. He and Kit Boucher, 71, are believed to have been walking their dog on Feb. 14 near an inlet at First Encounter Beach before falling into the frigid water.

Kit Boucher also died as a result of the incident, despite rescue attempts in which two police officers were injured. Her body was recovered soon afterward, but a search for Jerry Boucher continued throughout the week.
