Brewster Armed Robbery Suspect Caught

Brewster police said the suspect used a fake gun to rob Brewster Farms Market. A search of his residence turned up two stolen, real guns.

BREWSTER, MA — A Brewster armed robbery suspect has been captured.

Brewster police on Wednesday announced they arrested Michael Sletzinger, 27, of Brewster, for Sunday’s robbery at Brewster Farms Market.

Sletzinger, armed with a BB gun, walked into the store at about 7 p.m., threatened a worker, then made off with an undisclosed amount of cash, police.

Police said a security camera captured video and a photo of Sletzinger. Police shared the photo on social media leading up to Wednesday’s arrest announcement.

He was charged with armed robbery, larceny, and four counts of assault with a deadly weapon.

Police said he also robbed a business at gunpoint in New Bedford last week and will be charged accordingly.

During a search of his residence, police said they found two stolen Desert Eagle pistols. Police said they were stolen from a gun dealership in Virginia on Dec. 11.

Sletzinger was ordered held until a dangerousness hearing Monday.
