Brush Fire Near Cape Cod Conservation Area Prompts Major Response

Initial reports were that the fire was on Kent's Point, but an officer arrived to find it was on the opposite shore.

ORLEANS, MA — On Monday morning, a large brush fire was located near a conservation area on Cape Cod, prompting a response from multiple municipal fire departments.

Orleans police shared that the fire was found on Keziahs Lane on Tuesday around 4 a.m. Initial reports were that the fire was on Kent's Point, but an officer arrived to find it was on the opposite shore.

The fire was present in a large area of woods close to the only home at the end of the road, officials said.

The Orleans Fire Department along with multiple other agencies responded to the scene for firefighting efforts.

Those efforts continued until at least 6 a.m. on Monday.
