Step into the mesmerizing world of molten glass in this hands-on flameworking workshop. Students are introduced to the fundamentals of working with soft glass and create their own unique glass beads using a metal mandrel, learning techniques like pulling stringers, adding colorful dots, and experimenting with surface textures.
Safety / what to expect: This class is held at the HyArts Campus Flamework Studio. Participants must wear 100% cotton or linen clothing (no synthetics) and closed-toe shoes; long hair must be tied back. Finished pieces cool overnight in a kiln and are ready for pickup the following day.Happens on the following Dates:

Sandwich Glass Museum

Explore the art of transfer decoration in this creative porcelain workshop. Guests will work on a porcelain surface, selecting from a variety of transfer designs to build their own unique composition. You’ll experiment with placement and layering as you arrange the imagery to create a personalized piece.
Once your design is complete, the piece will be kiln-fired to permanently fuse the transfers to the porcelain surface, resulting in a finished piece that is both decorative and functional.
No prior experience is needed—just come ready to experiment and design. Please note that pieces must be picked up approximately two weeks after the class to allow time for kiln firing.
This is the class registration fee which includes the instruction and transfer supplies. Ceramic pieces will be purchased separately during class and may range from $20-$50 each.

Join us for a fun, hands-on art experience where you'll craft a one-of-a-kind fused glass piece! With expert guidance, you'll learn the basics of glass cutting and how to assemble your project. Whether you're a complete beginner or a glass enthusiast, this class offers something for everyone. Pick your own project, choosing from a sun-catcher, a nightlight, or a coaster, and watch your masterpiece come to life!
Registration: $20 class registration fee (does not apply to the cost of the project). Project costs vary $40–$46 depending on the specific project.
Ages: 8+. Children ages 8–13 must be accompanied by an adult who can assist if needed.
Pickup/Shipping: Projects are guaranteed ready one week after creation date. Shipping is available (USPS flat rate shipping for $18.99).

Create delicate, sculptural blooms in this hands-on borosilicate workshop focused on repetition, control, and thoughtful assembly. Students will learn how to shape and refine individual petals, practicing consistency and intentional movement to achieve balanced, cohesive forms.
You’ll explore how glass responds to heat as you flatten, shape, and refine each element, then discover the techniques for bringing those pieces together—carefully reheating and assembling them into a complete flower. The process culminates in pulling and shaping a graceful, twisty stem, adding movement and personality to your finished piece.
Safety &amp; What to Expect This class is held at our HyArts Campus Flamework Studio. All participants must wear 100% cotton or linen clothing (no synthetic fabrics), along with closed-toe shoes. Long hair must be tied back securely before class. Protective eyewear will be provided. Finished work will be available for pickup the following day after cooling overnight in a kiln.

Refine your control and build confidence in the flame in this focused, hands-on borosilicate workshop. This class is all about developing steady hands, understanding heat control, and mastering smooth, intentional rotation—essential skills for shaping glass with precision.
Students will begin by creating vibrant, solid marbles, learning how to evenly heat and shape the glass. From there, you’ll transform those forms by stretching and twisting them into elegant icicles, discovering how subtle changes in heat and movement can dramatically alter the final design.
Along the way, you’ll also learn techniques for adding pendant loops, giving you the option to turn your creations into wearable or hangable pieces. This class blends technical skill-building with creativity, resulting in beautiful, functional glass art.

This class is for the dancer who wants a bit more of a challenge and has taken the Beginning Ballet Basics class or who has studied ballet before.&nbsp; The class incorporates a barre, stretch and center floor work that requires more balance and core strength, but is doable for any age.&nbsp; Learn new steps, ballet vocabulary, port de bras and positions set to beautiful music that will encourage the inner dancer in you.&nbsp; The class is taught by a ballet dancer/instructor with years of professional dancing and teaching experience.&nbsp;6 Tuesdays, 10-11am
