This may require research on the keywords and phrases that buyers are searching on. Is there enough content on the page – at least 300 words? Are off-page citations and directory listings consistent? Not listed? Is there misinformation in the listing? Incomplete? Have you listed your website with the key directories such as SuperMedia, YP.com, Angies List, My Huckleberry, Google, Bing, Yahoo, Manta and Merchant’s Circle?
There are additional audit components. Are you harnessing the power of video? Do you have a YouTube channel? Is your YouTube video optimized for search? Have you taken one video and expanded it to seven for greater visibility and keyword targeting? Can your key services or products be found? Example, as a plumber who emphasizes “drain cleaning” or “tankless water heaters”, are there specific pages within your website dedicated to that? Do you offer a full and complete street address on every page? This is a must even if your office is in your home. Google does not accept P.O. Boxes as a legitimate local business address. Google only accepts a real physical address.
